Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of BIM Monkey ("the Service"), operated by BIM Monkey ("we", "us"). By signing up, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service Does

BIM Monkey connects to your Revit model via Claude Code and generates construction document sets — sheets, views, details, and annotations — using AI trained on architectural drawings.

2. Training Data and AI Improvement

By signing up, you grant BIM Monkey a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the drawing sets you upload to improve generation quality for your firm and, in anonymized form, for all users of the Service.

Specifically:

• Your private library — the PDF drawing sets you upload are analyzed by AI and stored in your firm's private library on BIM Monkey's servers. This data is used to personalize AI output for your firm and is not shared with other firms in identifiable form.
• Community pool — anonymized data from your uploads (without firm name, project name, or client information) may be included in a shared training library that improves output for all users.

We do not use your raw drawing files (PDFs, Revit models) for any purpose other than AI analysis at the time of upload. Raw PDF files are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete.

3. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not share your firm-specific training data with competitors or other firms in identifiable form.
• We do not claim ownership of your architectural work. Your designs remain yours.

4. Your Right to Delete

You may delete individual projects from your library at any time directly from the app.bimmonkey.ai dashboard. Deletion immediately removes that project's data from BIM Monkey's servers.

To delete your entire firm account and all associated data, email us. We will remove your private library and any community pool contributions within 30 days.

PDF files sent to the AI for analysis pass through Anthropic's API and are subject to Anthropic's data retention policy. BIM Monkey does not store your raw PDF files after analysis is complete.

5. Trial and Subscription

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial. After the trial period, continued access requires an active paid subscription. Pricing is listed on bimmonkey.ai. We may change pricing with 30 days notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for legitimate architectural practice. You may not use it to generate content that infringes third-party intellectual property, violates building codes without disclosure, or is otherwise unlawful.

7. Disclaimer

AI-generated construction documents require professional review before use in permitted construction. BIM Monkey is a tool to assist licensed architects, not a replacement for professional judgment. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated output used without proper review.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
